Geek Girl Of The Week: Ana Calderon

A photo posted by Ana Calderon (@ana_says) on

Who: Ana Calderon

Type of Geek: Retro Geek Goddess

It’s hard to flip through any of the galleries on The Cobra Snake without seeing Ana Calderon somewhere in the frame. With her signature black-brimmed hat and red-lipstick smirk, this Kansas-born trendsetter stands out in a crowd. Whether she’s DJing or promoting an event in the hipster hood, the party doesn’t start until Calderon walks in.

She might be queen of the L.A. scene now, opening for bands like Warpaint and Interpol, but this retro trend-spotter originally got her start by doing marketing at record labels like Hopeless Records and then Dim Mak, owned by party boy (and eventual mentor) Steve Aoki. Bowler hats off to you, girl!
