Order “Geek Girls Unite” On Amazon.com

After months and months of writing, editing, rewriting, re-editing, rinse, repeat, I am pleased to present the finished copy of my new book, Geek Girls Unite: How Fangirls, Bookworms, Indie Chicks, and Other Misfits Are Taking Over the World. What do you think? I’m kinda in love with it—so much so that I wouldn’t mind marrying it. (Don’t worry. You’ll totally be invited to the wedding.) As we speak, the designed manuscript is at the printer, doing whatever manuscripts do before they get bound into 224-page tomes and shipped out to various bookstores, specialty shops and Amazon carts on October 18, 2011 October 4, 2011. In fact, speaking of Amazon, you can already pre-order a copy of Geek…

Sneak Peek At “Geek Girls Unite”

More updates to come. Swears! In the meantime, I’d like to introduce you to my new literary baby. She’s adorable, a little fussy and has been keeping me up late at night.

Read My New Column On MTV Buzzworthy!

After a bunch of months being cooped up in my apartment, I’ve finally decided to join the land of the living. Truth be told, I wasn’t exactly cooped up. I was slaving away on Geek Girls Unite and I loved/hated every minute of it. (Who am I kidding? Mostly loved.) On a related note, GGU is available for pre-order on Amazon. Reserve your copy NOW! I’m also pleased to introduce a new column I’ll be writing for MTV Buzzworthy. It’s called Soundtrack Of My Life and it’ll be a weekly playlist compiled by yours truly. Click here—or on the lovely logo below—and read my inaugural column, which just so happens to be about Dudes In…

A Few Of My Favor!te Things

When my amazing publisher asked me to contribute to their annual Favor!te Things list, I immediately jumped at the chance. Well, actually, I hopped carefully. See, I recently slipped in my kitchen and have a huge black and blue mark across the left side of my body, so I’m really in no shape to jump wildly. If you’re interested in knowing what movies, music and memes I was ob-sessed with in 2010, then hoof it over to YourItList.com. Careful, though. I don’t have that many ice packs to go around.

In Case You Were Wondering

This is what it looks like to press “send” on the last year of your life. Lucky for you, my thick-rimmed glasses hide the tote-sized bags under my eyes. I don’t know why, but my (possibly blind) friend Rachel thinks I look smokin’. Oh, yes. I’m a true vision of beauty… And by “beauty,” I mean “sleep deprivation, wild mood swings and crippling anxiety.” I need to bottle that shit and sell it at Sephora. I’d make a killing!
