Geek Girl Of The Week: Genevieve Gorder

Who: Genevieve Gorder

Type of Geek: Design Problem-Solver Domestic Goddess Geek

We first became smitten with Genevieve Gorder when she appeared on everyone’s favorite flip-flop decorating show Trading Spaces; however, we fell into flawlessly designed love when she launched her own show on HGTV, Dear Genevieve, where she tackles all sorts of real-life design challenges. She’s kind of like the Abby Landers of home decor.

Unlike some decorators who come up with grandiose—read: tres expensive—ideas to give your space a facelift, Genevieve’s advice is realistic and oftentimes inexpensive. She proves that no problem is too big or too small and you don’t need a nod from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification in order to solve a design dilemma.
